Well most inquisitive guest, the answer to that questions is two-fold. First, "palangi" is the Tongan equivalent (as I understand it because I actually haven't gotten to Tonga yet) of the Mexican word "Gringo". Basically the site mean's "White Guy Files." I decided to name my site this because I thought it would be funny and that I would appreciate the irony once I got into the Peace Corps and set up on site Teaching. Or maybe its bad form. If that doesn't work, "palangi" is the pakistani word for "bed made of bamboo". Which is also funny because I have a bamboo bed! (No trees were harmed in the making of this bamboo bed. Plus it's really not my bed) See, irony in action. BAAM!
